Coach Webb is enters his 3rd season as Hitting Coordinator for the 5 Tool Players program. Born and raised in the Lakewood/Long Beach area; Bobby graduated from Long Beach Wilson High School (’11). Webb played three years on varsity garnering 1st Team All-Moore League in his sophomore and senior seasons as well as Press Telegram’s 1st Team Dream-Team in 2011.
Bobby attended Golden West College before transferring to play baseball at Division I Long Island University, Brooklyn, NY. Webb led the Northeast Conference in batting average in 2014 and was Top 25 in the nation in batting average that same year. Webb graduated with a Sports Science Degree in 2015.
Bobby went on to play three seasons of Independent baseball in the Atlantic League, American Association, United Shore, and Pecos League. Webb hit 19 HR as a rookie in 2016 and led the Pecos league in extra base hits in 2017. He also competed in the World Baseball Challenge Tournament in 2016 and was crowned Home Run King.
In 2018, coach Webb started Undefeated Academy, a baseball program in the Long Beach/Lakewood area where he operates and manages high school travel teams, college summer teams, and provides private hitting consultations and instruction. Bobby works with high school, college, and professional athletes. “We work on being efficient with our body, adding bat speed, having a plan/approach, and challenging hitters with as many game-like reps as possible.” Coach Webb has worked with JP Crawford (Mariners), Nick Torres (Padres), and Chris Betts (Dodgers).
Bobby and his wife Mackenna have been married for 6 years, live in Bellflower, Ca. and have two boys; Knox and Kye.
